    Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Removal Paralegal fluent in English and Spanish to assist our immigration team with removal/deportation cases. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in immigration law, specifically handling EOIR cases, and possess at least three years of experience managing high-stakes immigration matters. In this role, you will be essential in supporting attorneys and clients through complex removal proceedings, handling both detained and non-detained cases, and ensuring that all documentation and filings are accurate and timely.

    Responsibilities:

    Document Preparation: Draft, prepare, and assemble motions, petitions, and supporting documents for court, including cases for asylum and cancellation of removal.

    Case Management: Organize case files, manage deadlines, and ensure timely communication and updates to clients. Ability to work independently and in a high volume and fast-paced environment.

    Legal Research: Stay current on removal-related immigration laws, regulations, and policies to ensure compliance and precision in case preparation.

    Client Communication: Maintain regular communication with clients, providing case updates, answering inquiries, and guiding them through the process.

    Attorney Support: Work closely with attorneys in case preparation, research, and client interactions, contributing to successful case resolutions.

    Docket Management: Independently manage your assigned attorney’s docket, ensuring smooth case progression with minimal supervision.

    Qualifications:

    Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience in immigration removal or deportation cases, including working with EOIR.

    Education: Bachelor’s Degree or associate’s degree in paralegal studies preferred.

    Skills: Strong drafting, proofreading, and legal research skills, with a keen attention to detail.

    Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex case details and present clear, organized findings.

    Interpersonal Skills: Comfortable working with diverse client backgrounds, providing empathetic and culturally sensitive support.

    Language: Must be bilingual in English and Spanish (reading, writing, speaking).
