Benefits: • Bonus! • 2 weeks paid time off (PTO) to start! • Monthly contributions for Health Benefits! • Monday - Friday schedule Responsibilities: • Determine case strategies and solutions to serve clients’ needs after analysis • Work closely with and provide leadership to administrative staff concerning client billing, client meetings and invoicing, as well as finalizing client projects • Prepare various legal documents, such as motions, pleadings, briefs, and correspondence • Perform research, draft briefs, pleadings, and motions • Provide legal counsel to clients by analyzing their needs and determining a proper course of action • Passion for lawyering and being in the courtroom making a difference • Honesty is critical and good ethical character is essential • Love connecting with people • Passionate about helping others • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment • Treats a 4:30 call on Friday with the same care and compassion as one on Monday morning • Exceptional curiosity - Ownership mindset Qualifications: • Decision-making, public speaking, problem-solving, interpersonal skills, and communication skills are a must • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience working in a law firm environment • Ability to use Microsoft Office is required • Candidates must currently be a member of their local bar association - active member preferred • Advanced computer skills working with legal research programs (Westlaw and Lexis) required • Admitted to practice law in Tennessee • General or criminal law experience is a plus • Former prosecution experience strongly preferred (we are all former prosecutors!) • Experience in other law firms or government legal departments is a plus • At least 3 years of criminal law experience preferred Compensation: $90,000 DOE
