    JOB DUTIES:

    Under the guidance of the Human Resources Director, processes bi-weekly payroll, handles various HR functions related to benefits administration, recruitment, on-boarding, terminations, data maintenance, etc.

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

    1. Processes bi-payroll accurately and timely.

    2. Collects, edits, and maintains records related to changes of employment and benefits.

    3. Assists HR Director in the recruitment process to attract the best applicants and fill positions in a timely manner;

    a. Discusses job requirements and applicant qualifications with managers,

    b. Places job advertisements,

    c. Initiates background screening with contracted company, verifies I-9 documents, assures completion of OIG/SAM,

    d. Enrolls new employees into benefits

    1. Responsible for the on boarding/off boarding processes including new hire orientation, account set-up (with correct deductions and accumulators), last check issuance, collection of company property and account deactivation.

    2. Responds to employee inquiries related to payroll, benefits, status changes, etc.

    3. Be a subject matter expert for company policy/benefits interpretation. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

    · Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field

    · 3-5 years exp as a Human Resources Assistant or Generalist

    · 2 years exp processing payroll – SentricHR exp. preferred

    SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITY:

    · Knowledge of common state and federal labor laws.

    · Experience in dealing with confidential matters with tact, sensitivity, and discretion.

    · Expert proficiency in Microsoft applications, especially Excel.

    · Strong time management and attention to details.
