Job Summary: As a Security Engineer at Impilo, you will be responsible for ensuring the security of our systems and data. You will work closely with development and operations teams to implement security best practices, conduct security assessments, and respond to security incidents. Your expertise in cybersecurity will be essential in protecting our clients' sensitive information and maintaining compliance with industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Security Assessment and Implementation:
- Conduct security assessments and vulnerability analyses.
- Implement security controls and best practices to protect systems and data.
Incident Response:
- Respond to security incidents and conduct investigations.
- Develop and maintain incident response plans and procedures.
Collaboration:
- Work with development and operations teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle.
- Provide security training and awareness programs for employees.
Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards (such as HIPAA, GDPR).
- Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to ensure ongoing compliance.
Continuous Improvement:
- Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity threats and technologies.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our security posture and processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience in cybersecurity or a related field.
- Strong understanding of security principles, practices, and technologies.
- Experience with security tools and technologies (such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the healthcare industry or healthcare IT.
- Certification in relevant technologies (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH).
