In Home Care Provider for Young Man with Autism
Helping others is what we're all about. If that's what you are about too, read on. This job posting is different than our usual. This job is in search of a helper for a Mr. Appliance family. We are helping to seek a part time employee to work 3 days a week, you would be working for family of our company (not directly for Mr. Appliance), 3 days per week, Monday-Wednesday, 10 am-3 pm (or) 12 pm-5 pm. Applicant must be familiar with Autism, or have worked with individuals on the spectrum, or know a family member/friend on the spectrum and are familiar with the challenging characteristics.
Pay range is $23-$26 an hour, depending on skill level and care giving knowledge. Training will be provided.
Client is diagnosed with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder), and OCD, and has challenging behaviors. Staff will be 2-1 ratio. 2 staff members assigned to the client at a time. Client lives very close to Crafton Hills College.
Goals: To help minimize outbursts and transition to meaningful behaviors and activities.
