Join Our Team at Assisting Hands Home Care
Make a meaningful impact through in-home care with Assisting Hands, a locally-owned family business backed by a national brand. We are hiring for caregiving shifts throughout Duval and St. Johns counties to help clients maintain independence and age with dignity in the comfort of their homes—and our caregivers make that possible every day.
We’re looking for passionate caregivers to join our flexible, supportive team. Whether you want a few hours or a full schedule, this role offers personal fulfillment and the chance to make a real difference for people and their families.
Responsibilities:
Provide support to individuals in need, offering them dignity and comfort, and give respite to families caring for their loved ones.
Assist clients with daily activities, including mobility, personal hygiene, and self-care tasks (such as getting out of bed, bathing, dressing, and toileting), and offer light housekeeping and meal preparation as needed.
Develop meaningful connections with clients through companionship, patience, and understanding, helping to enrich their day-to-day experiences and ensure their emotional well-being.
Monitor clients’ conditions and report any significant changes or concerns to our office promptly, ensuring that both the caregivers' needs and clients' needs are met.
Maintain open communication with our office team, helping us coordinate care that fully supports each client’s unique requirements and respects their personal preferences.
Work directly with clients in their homes, providing essential support for their daily needs and helping them maintain independence in a safe, comfortable environment.
Requirements:
A valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license and/or valid Home Health Aide (HHA) certification
CPR certification (classroom-based)
Proof of completion for required Florida trainings: HIV/AIDS, Alzheimer’s and Related Dementias, and Assistance with Self Administration of Medication
Reliable transportation to client homes
Strong communication skills and adaptability to meet diverse client needs
A caring, patient, and understanding demeanor, with a genuine concern for others’ well-being
Dependability and integrity, with a commitment to being responsible, ethical, and thorough in all tasks
Self-control and resilience to handle challenging situations with composure
Comfort working in clients' homes, which may include environments with pets (pet comfort is not required but strongly preferred)
