    Do you love working with the little ones? Apple Speech and Educational Services, Inc. a pediatric multi-disciplinary agency that provides speech therapy and child development services at clients’ homes and/or daycare. All our clients are located in San Fernando Valley and/or Santa Clarita Valley areas. We are currently seeking part time or full-time Child Development Specialist/ Early Interventionist to join our multidisciplinary team. Choose your areas to service and create your own schedule.

    Qualifications:

    Education: A Bachelor’s (or higher) degree in Psychology, Child Development, Early Education, and one year field experience OR presently in school working toward your Bachelor’s Degree with one year field. Written and spoken fluency in English needed, additional languages a plus!

    Must have experience working with young children between the ages of 0-3 with developmental delays and/or disabilities, assessing individual needs, creating plans for therapy, and working with families and other therapeutic disciplines.

    Responsibilities:

    Develops and maintains individualized skill-appropriate lesson plans.

    Manages each client’s schedule and makes modifications if needed on a daily basis.

    Maintains inventory of educational materials and supplies.

    Other duties may be assigned.

    Provide and implement early intervention program at client’s home/community/school or via telehealth

    Position requirements:

    Minimum of 6 months experience providing therapy and working with kids / parent with disabilities

    Experience with writing assessment reports and progress reports

    Must have experience/knowledge in administering developmental screenings

    A Bachelor’s (or higher) degree in Psychology, Child Development, Early Education, and one year field experience OR presently in school working toward your Bachelor’s Degree with one year field experience. Written and spoken fluency in English needed, additional languages a plus!

    12 units of early childhood education

    Must understand child development, that each child learns differently.

    Must have positive, high energy, and enthusiastic attitude

    Must be able to pass a background/ fingerprinting check

    Clear TB test.

    Must have a reliable car with current insurance (this job requires driving from one client to another). Paid drive time and mileage.

    Collaboration with team members (OT, PT, and ST)

    Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and/or google docs preferred

    Must understand the importance of collaboration

    Light lifting, walking, climbing stairs

    · Desirable candidates must have a strong work ethic, excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to work well as part of a team, strong written and verbal communication skills. Multilingual is a plus.
