Position Overview: This is a full time opportunity. As a Mental Health Therapist, you will receive clinical supervision to earn your license while you will work closely with our experienced Clinical Director to learn how to oversee the clinical services of our agency. You will be trained in the development, implementation, and monitoring of treatment plans and interventions for youth and their families. You will also be trained in clinical supervision, program development, quality improvement, and compliance with state regulations. In addition to administrative and practical training, you will receive supervision towards your clinical licensure while providing intensive in-community and in-home services to youth and families. You will design individualized treatment plans that focus on symptom reduction and skill development to restore or maintain the youth's functioning.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Participate in regular trainings and supervision
Provide weekly in-home/community-based treatment services focused on addressing maladaptive behavior while incorporating fitness, recreational, and/or sport-related activities to enhance therapeutic outcomes throughout, Essex, Hudson, or Morris/Sussex Counties (depends on your location)
Have the ability to provide therapeutic interventions virtually or in-person
Develop comprehensive treatment plans with individualized goals to address psychiatric, behavioral, emotional, and social needs in a timely manner
Maintain accurate and timely documentation
Facilitate team meetings, provide supervision for Behavioral Assistants, and participate in other collaborative efforts with the team pertaining to services.
Required Qualifications (Education, Skills & Experience)
Provisional licensure required: LSW or LAC
Experience providing trauma-informed therapy
Experience working with children with special needs
Ability to work virtually or in-home
Master’s Degree in social work, counseling, or related human service field
Minimum of two (2) years direct experience working with youth and families
Valid New Jersey driver’s license
Must possess good written and verbal communication skills, demonstrate a high level of cultural competence, and be responsive to the needs of youth and families served
Bi-lingual is a plus
