  • Responsibilities

    The In-Home Therapist provides compassionate in-home therapy services to individuals, children, adolescents, and families in either Hennepin and Ramsey counties or Washington and Dakota counties. They conduct diagnostic assessments, create and implement treatment plans, and provide ongoing therapeutic interventions. The Therapist collaborates with a multidisciplinary team, including other mental health professionals and external service providers, to ensure comprehensive care. The therapist maintains clinical documentation, adheres to administrative requirements, and actively participates in professional development and community engagement. The role also involves managing and growing a caseload while meeting billable expectations and contributing to reducing mental health stigma through community outreach.

    Compensation: This is a non-exempt position. Total earnings for this position will be between $50,000 - $70,000 annually for a full-time position.

    Required Skills/Abilities:

    Bachelor’s degree required

    Candidates are required to be working towards a master’s degree in one of the behavioral sciences or related fields from an accredited college or university or have their master’s degree and working towards licensure

    Valid MN driver's license and must maintain vehicle insurance

    Exhibit good communication, judgement, time management, honesty, integrity, responsibility, and punctuality

    Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

    Strong working proficiency with Microsoft Office products and Mac technology including Outlook, Calendar, Teams Chat, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

    Maintains strict confidentiality handling client information in compliance with HIPAA guidelines and Ellie policies

    Demonstrates awareness, inclusivity, sensitivity, humility, and experience in working with individuals from diverse ethnic backgrounds, socioeconomic statuses, sexual orientations, gender identities, and other various aspects of culture

    Responsibilities include:

    Client Care and Therapy

    Provide in-home therapy sessions to adults, children, adolescents, and/or families. Full-time status requires a weekly minimum of 22 client sessions.

    Utilize effective, developmentally and culturally appropriate interventions that support progress with individual and/or family treatment goals.

    Provide education and resources to clients' families or caregivers, helping them understand mental health conditions and supporting them in their caregiving role.

    Communicate with clients regarding administrative requirements of services (informed consent, HIPAA, billing cycle, scheduling, etc.).

    Be available for crisis intervention as needed, and develop protocols for managing acute mental health crises, including suicide prevention and emergency referrals.

    Active participation and responsibility in building/growing to maintain caseload to meet billable expectations.

    Assessment and Treatment Planning

    Complete diagnostic assessments, create and implement treatment plans, and complete clinical documentation (progress notes, discharge summaries, etc.) according to current standards and timelines. Regularly assess and adjust based on client needs.

    Clinical and Administrative Partnership

    Collaborate with shared client supportive services to ensure positive client experience and professional responsibility.

    Collaborate with client’s other mental health providers including but not limited to medication management, psychological assessment services, school social workers, case managers, insurance care coordinators, etc.

    Professional Development and Participation

    Attend and participate in 2 hours of clinic consultations/staff meetings per month, per 245i requirements.

    Attend and participate in all clinical staff meetings, consults, and trainings.

    Travel Requirements: 25% to 50% travel to and from client’s homes.
