The Director of Income Tax will play a pivotal role in managing all aspects of Federal, state, and local tax matters for HHM Hotels. Responsibilities will encompass tax compliance, income tax accounting, project-based assignments, and strategic research and planning. The ideal candidate must collaborate effectively with the Company’s finance team and adhere to accounting policies and procedures throughout the organization. Responsibilities: Your Focuses • Responsible for any provisions for income taxes under ASC 740 including all work papers and schedules • Responsible for federal and state tax returns, estimates, and extensions • Responsible for tax GL account reconciliations • Responsible for state income tax apportionment • Responsible for other special projects as assigned, including purchase accounting, federal tax planning opportunities, and research of tax issues • Responsible for federal, state, and local tax audits and tax notices • Responsible for Canadian tax compliance • Work collaboratively with other departments • Practice safe work habits to ensure safety • Perform other duties as requested by management Qualifications: Your Background and Skill • Bachelor’s degree in Tax, Accounting, Finance, or similar business field preferred • 12-15 years of accounting/tax experience or equivalent training required • CPA or advanced degree a plus • Tax software experience preferred • Proficient in using Excel
