    Job Description

    Indegene, Inc., a global healthcare solutions company, is seeking highly motivated and articulate college graduates for several VIRTUAL SALES REPRESENTATIVES positions. The VIRTUAL SALES REPRESENTATIVE will be a point of contact for multi-channel marketing (MCM) programs which are intended to communicate key pharmaceutical product messages to targeted physicians. These messages may include sample offerings, new indications, or education on a pharmaceutical product. This is a terrific entry-level opportunity for recent college grads seeking to gain experience in the pharmaceutical sales industry.

    To be successful in this position, the VIRTUAL SALES REPRESENTATIVE must demonstrate the ability to learn pharmaceutical-related information quickly, work independently, and achieve both project benchmarks and deadlines. Pronunciation of key product names, disease states, molecule names, etc., will be part of the daily work of the representative, so candidate will require superior communication skills (written and verbal). Building relationships with gatekeepers and cultivating/maintaining relationships with physician office staff will allow the representative to more easily secure an audience with the HCP (Healthcare Professionals) targets. Representatives should be self-motivated and bring their life science/business/sales knowledge and experience to the table in order to effectively communicate key messages to their targets and also provide an outlet for HCP questions.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    • High learning agility- must be able to quickly learn and understand complex pharmaceutical/scientific information
    • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Life Sciences highly preferred (Recent college grads encouraged to apply!)
    • Confident and highly articulate- must be comfortable talking with Healthcare Providers about scientific information via Live Video Detailing (video conferencing which is similar to Skype)
    • Self-motivated
    • Strong communication skills (both verbal & written)
    • Personal organization, time management, and administrative skills
    • Effective presentation skills, both written and verbal
    • Exceptional listening and problem resolution skills
    • Ability to establish rapport and build relationships
    • Familiarity and experience with CRM, data entry, reporting and documentation
    • Flexibility to work until 8:00pm once or twice a week if needed to cover calls to HCP’s on the west coast (Pacific Time Zone) a plus
    • Pharma or healthcare experience a plus

    TECHNICAL SKILLS:

    • Intermediate proficiency with computers
    • Familiarity with network connectivity
    • Comfort with troubleshooting technical difficulties
    • Strong presentation ability to include slide and content navigation
    • Office suite knowledge (Outlook, Excel)

    ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Outbound calling to physicians’ offices to deliver product messaging using visual aids and other resources.
    • Follow the call guide to deliver specific messages to physician offices by liaising with gate-keepers, receptionists, office-managers and other office staff.
    • Drive maximum engagement with HCP offices by utilizing online & offline resources.
    • Ensure clear notes are taken for each call made, and dispositions are entered into the CRM.
    • Document project compliance requirements including adverse events.
    • Build relationships with gatekeepers and HCPs.
    • Effectively get past gatekeeper and document contact information for physician and office staff.
    • Effectively convey key product or program messages to physicians and their office staff.
    • Work collaboratively with the physician’s office and product fulfillment center to request samples in a timely manner.
    • Maintain documentation of the calls using either MS Excel or the CRM in use.
    • Represent customer internally and coordinate with MCM operations to implement client systems, complete projects, and address ongoing service needs.
    • Monitor programs to ensure client satisfaction.
    • Follow-up calls to physician offices for fulfillment of services.
    • Receive inbound calls if needed during operating hours.
