    JOB SUMMARY

    Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

    MRO Electric is a global supplier of industrial automation equipment. We are looking for a reliable technician to join our production team. The Industrial Automation Technician position based in our Cary, NC office will be focused on testing & refurbishing surplus industrial automation equipment.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES __

    • Clean, test, and repair industrial controls, such as PLCs, drives, HMIs, & motors. Experience working with high voltage drives up to 480V is a plus.
    • Test the functionality of each repaired unit & document the test results in our software system.
    • Communicate with sales / purchasing team to ensure timely shipment of orders & necessary stock purchasing.
    • Collaborate effectively in a team environment and demonstrate computer literacy.
    • Utilize automation software to install parameters & test communication of equipment.
    • Support with receiving, shipping and inventory processes.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Minimum of 2 years work experience in electrical or electronics field or a degree relating to electrical or electronic systems.
    • Strong Computer proficiency
    • Must be comfortable in a role where success is determined through key performance indicator (KPI) metrics; performance will be measured based on effectiveness in performance metrics in addition to correctness in following instructions.
    • Must be confident with learning information technology systems with reasonably minimal training and oversight, and resourcefully leveraging those systems to thoroughly understand the company's business activities and processes.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    • Occasional overhead reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
    • Lifting requirements: occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds, frequent lifting of up to 25 pounds, and continuous lifting of up to 10 pounds.
    • Continuous standing and repetitive hand movements.
    • Frequent walking.

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

    • High School Diploma and Technical School Certification required (related field) or 2+ years related experience and/or training.
    • Knowledge of technical or industrial products is a plus
