Provide support as needed to a production operation.
Be proficient in the use of measuring instrumentation – VOM, ammeter, oscilloscope, etc.
Have a working knowledge of AC, DC, stepper & servo motors, drives and controllers.
Be proficient troubleshooting circuits with power supplies, relays, motors, drives and various field devices such encoders, resolvers, micro switches, potentiometers, sensors (inductive, capacitive & photoelectric), etc.
Must understand fuse types and usages.
Be proficient in modifying schematics as needed to reflect changes.
Be proficient in generating from scratch schematics for small panels.
Have a working knowledge of panel building for small capital projects.
Be able to make breadboard simulations as needed.
Comply with NEC and OSHA standards for all installation assignments.
Be comfortable working with voltages up to 480vac and up to 180vdc
Provide guidance to electricians and other outside contractors when needed for machinery and facility support.
Component level troubleshooting is a plus.
Working knowledge of PLC programming is also a plus.
