Local manufacturing company requires an industrial equipment assembler. Must be skilled in reading schematic drawings along with the ability to assemble and install piping, wiring, instrumentation, and other mechanical or electrical devices. Common responsibilities for this position are:
Ability to work in warm and cold conditions, including inclement weather.
Availability to work overtime when required.
Follow technical instructions, interpret engineering drawings and technical terms.
Discern quality of parts and materials used in production.
Inventory parts and tools used in the assembling process.
Follow company procedures and directives.
Keep a clean and well-maintained workspace.
Skills required are: problem-solving as it relates to the assembly process and the functioning of the system components. Ability to communicate clearly, follow instructions, work independently and accurately. Ability to use drills, saws, and other common tools. Ability to measure accurately based on drawings. Qualified applicants must have experience in at least one of the following:
Carpentry - experience in the use of common carpentry tools for cutting, drilling, finishing, and measuring wood, plastic, metal, or other structural materials. Experiense using hand tools - drills table saw, circular saw, etc.
Plumbing and pipe fitting - experience in cutting, measuring, and assembling both plastic and metallic piping components. Must be able to use a measuring tape to nearest 1/16".
Electrical - experience in wiring commercial or industrial buildings or equipment.
