    SPIN Global is a Maryland-based public benefit corporation that exists to disrupt disasters from neighborhoods to nations. We are seeking qualified applicants to build a deployment-ready cadre, prepared to support response operations as opportunities arise. Applicants must possess a FEMA Entry on Duty (EOD).

    ‬‬‬ Responsibilities

    • Conduct environmental and industrial hygiene assessments, identifying hazards and recommending mitigation strategies.
    • Collaborate with engineers, environmental planners, and public health officials to develop comprehensive health and safety plans.
    • Perform site inspections to evaluate air quality, hazardous materials, and workplace safety conditions.
    • Utilize FEMA's Grants Portal to document assessments and ensure compliance with program requirements.
    • Provide technical expertise for determination memorandums and appeals related to industrial hygiene issues.
    • Develop and deliver training programs to promote occupational safety and health best practices.
    • Stay updated on FEMA training requirements and advancements in industrial hygiene methodologies.

    Requirements

    • Education & Experience:
      • Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of experience in a related field and professional registration or
      • Bachelor's Degree with 10 years of experience in a related field.
    • Certification:
      • Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) required.
    • Completion of FEMA courses preferred:
      • IS-1000: Public Assistance Program and Eligibility
      • IS-1001: The Public Assistance Delivery Model Orientation
      • IS-1002: FEMA Grants Portal - Transparency at Every Step
      • IS-1004: The FEMA Site Inspection Process
      • IS-1018: Determination Memorandums and Appeals
      • 7116: Program Delivery Manager
      • 7117: Site Inspection
    • Proficiency in industrial hygiene software and analysis tools.
    • Comprehensive understanding of health and safety regulations, disaster recovery operations, and hazardous materials management.
    • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
    • Work onsite in North Carolina.
    • EOD Required.
