Our client, a well-established & leading industrial manufacturer is currently seeking a hands-on Industrial Maintenance Manager for their Mount Airy, NC location.
The Industrial Maintenance Manager will be responsible for setting up, installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial machinery (electrical, mechanical, pneumatics, hydraulics, welding and machining) to ensure optimal equipment and machine performance to support plant operations. Our client is seeking a safety-first minded individual with great technical, team building, problem solving and time management skills to coordinate the activities of the maintenance team (12 direct reports)
Responsibilities:
Manage the mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance and repair of production machinery and support equipment and assist workers in diagnosing malfunctions in machinery and equipment
Utilize CMMS (Maximo) to identify high wear parts that can be added to PM schedules to reduce unplanned downtime
Promote a positive atmosphere in the maintenance department & in the plant
Confer with production supervision to coordinate maintenance activities
Be the driving force behind the maintenance team’s CMMS usage
Work with direct reports hands-on with troubleshooting and to develop training plans for areas of weakness to improve individual performance
Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of products
Research and execute capital appropriation expenditures
Day shift hours 7am-4pm, Mon-Friday; on call for 24/7 operations (after-shift calls typically 3-4x a month; called onsite maybe 1x month)
Qualifications:
Technical degree in relevant area preferred
5+ years industrial Maintenance leadership over electrical, mechanical & pneumatic equipment
Excellent troubleshooting/ technical skills as well as effective interpersonal supervisory/ mentoring ability
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite to include Excel, Word, and Outlook & some type of CMMS system preferred
Compensation:
Base salary in the 86k - 110k/year range
Eligible for quarterly bonus based upon plant performance (up to 36% quarterly salary)
