We are seeking a skilled and experienced Industrial Mechanic with a strong background in electrical systems to join our pharmaceutical manufacturing team. Experience working with encapsulation machinery is highly preferred. This role is essential to maintaining production efficiency and ensuring all machinery operates safely and reliably.
Location: Miramar, FL
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM
Hourly Rate: $20/hour
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Technical School Certification (two-year technical degree preferred)
Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing and packaging environments, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry
Solid working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, welding, HVAC, and compressor systems
Familiarity with PLC systems and troubleshooting
Must be flexible and available to work nights and weekends if required
Ability to work well independently and collaboratively in a diverse work environment
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on a variety of plant machinery and equipment
Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues, including repairs to encapsulation equipment when applicable
Conduct trial test runs and ensure machinery operates within specified parameters
Install, assemble, and test new machinery or replacement components
Adjust and calibrate machine components for optimal performance
Follow all current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), safety standards, and hygiene protocols
Maintain accurate preventive and corrective maintenance records and documentation
Operate power tools and shop equipment to support repair and modification tasks
Assist with the development and implementation of preventive maintenance programs
Perform additional tasks as assigned by management
