The Industrial Mechanic is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of machinery and equipment within the facility. This role involves routine preventive maintenance, repairs, and collaboration with team members to uphold safety and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret equipment manuals for mechanical preventive maintenance and repair tasks.
- Perform routine inspections and troubleshooting to identify issues.
- Adhere to all laws, regulations, and safety guidelines to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Use hand and power tools, as well as heavy machinery, following all safety protocols.
- Load and unload equipment and materials efficiently.
- Receive materials from vendors and account for inventory accurately.
- Folow written and verbal instructions from management and work independently when required.
- Collaborate effectively with coworkers and contribute to a positive team environment.
- Demonstrate strong time management skills and self-motivation to complete tasks efficiently.
- Utilize problem-solving skills to address maintenance challenges and implement solutions.
- Perform physical tasks including standing, walking, climbing, kneeling, bending, and lifting materials up to 50 pounds.
- Utilize pipefitting skills and other plant maintenance techniques, drawing on at least 5 years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, including P&IDs and PFDs.
- Competency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook for documentation and reporting.
- Completion of a welding apprenticeship is a plus.
