  • Responsibilities

    We provide Industrial Coatings for many different applications including Power Plants, Factories, Water Treatment Plants, and Commercial Contractors. The Coating Division offers the highest knowledge in industrial/commercial field painting – from surface preparation, coating application, and specification design to installation and safety compliance. You'll prepare the proper chemicals and equipment to coat the interior/exterior of industrial tanks, pipes, and structures. You understand that in order for the coating to adhere to the prepared surface, you need to abrasively blast the working surface. You then apply special coatings via airless and plural component spray equipment like a skilled craftsman! You proudly perform quality finished work on our client's Products. Responsibilities: • Use a wet film thickness (WFT) gauge for coating applications, as it is mandatory for all painters. • Bring personal tools to the job site (refer to the attached list for suggestions). • Dress appropriately for tasks, including wearing proper safety gear. Surface Preparation: • Inspect and evaluate surfaces to identify imperfections, defects, or damages. • Remove old paint, dirt, or debris using appropriate methods such as sanding, scraping, or pressure washing. • Repair cracks, holes, or other surface imperfections using filling materials, caulking, or putty. • Apply masking materials to protect adjacent areas from paint overspray or drips. Paint Application: • Mix and match paint colors according to project specifications and client preferences. • Apply primer, paint, and other coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment, ensuring even and smooth coverage. • Monitor drying times and apply additional coats as needed, ensuring proper adhesion and finish. Cleanup and Maintenance: • Clean and maintain painting tools and equipment to ensure longevity and proper functioning. • Dispose of waste materials and solvents in accordance with local regulations and company guidelines. • Leave the worksite clean and debris-free upon completion of each project. Continuous Improvement: • Stay updated on industry trends, new painting techniques, and best practices. • Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge. Qualifications: • 3+ years of experience in industrial coatings. • High school diploma or GED. • Proficient in SSPC / NACE Abrasive/coating standards (preferred) • SSPC Certification or any type of AMPP Cert. is a plus. • OSHA 10 is a plus. • Confined space certification is a plus. • Have reliable Transportation and Valid Driver's License. • Must be able to pass a background check. Compensation: $20 - $24 hourly
