Pay Rate: $29.08/hr

Location: West Lafayette, IN 47907

Hours: Monday-Friday 7am-3pm (some OT may be required)

Industrial Plumber Responsibilities:

• Install, trouble shooting, replacement and/or repair of potable and non-potable water, sanitary waste, process waste, hydronic, steam, compressed air/ gases and process piping systems that serve buildings and/or equipment.
• Install, trouble shooting, replacement and/or repair of but not limited to; restroom fixtures, faucets, dishwashers, water heaters, water softeners, lab equipment, farm equipment, electric/gas water heaters, instantaneous water heaters, water stills, steam and hydronic boilers, unit heaters, convection heaters, nesbitt heaters, radiators, dishwashers, autoclaves, steam cookers and other equipment.
• Operate sewer camera and set up temporary potable water supply etc.
• Disassemble, inspect, troubleshoot, replace, and repair regulators, steam traps, valves, gaskets, springs, pipe sections.
• Perform the following; cutting, threading, assembling, bending, brazing, soldering and flaring of pipe or tubing. Install pipe fittings, pipe supports and hangers, gaskets, valves, etc.
• Adhere to all safety policies, procedures and safe work practice.
• Commissioning of new equipment and piping systems.
• Perform above description independently.

Industrial Plumber Qualifications:

• Three years of Steam System Repair and Residential, Commercial or Municipal plumbing.
• Proficiently use various tools in the shop and field including but not limited to hand tools, power hand tools, power equipment i.e.; pipe cutter, pipe threader, roll groover, drain cleaning equipment, pro-press and pex tools, pipe freezer.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with good oral and written communications.
• Steel toe safety shoes are required during all working hours.
• Valid driver's licenses required.
