Minimum Qualifications
12 Child Development units (3 of those units must be in infant studies)
1 year experience preferred. BI-LINGUAL preferred (spanish) Must be willing to start immeadiatley (restrictions apply)
Job Requirements
Sincere desire to serve all families.
Ability to relate to and communicate with children and their parents.
Ability to communicate clearly, both written and verbally.
Knowledge of developmental stages relevant to age taught.
Participate in continuing education opportunities related to child development, child safety, and other relevant areas in child development.
Knowledge of child abuse regulations.
Current CPR and first-aid training with certificate. (or obtain within 30 days of hire) Must be EMSA approved.
Must be available to work a varied shift during hours of operation between 7am-5:30pm Monday-Friday
Take Mandated Reporter course through Community Care Licensing (online) and present certificate upon completion to Admin within 1 week of hire. This is a no cost course.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop a responsive, accepting, and consistent relationship with infants; support bonding between infants and adults, including parent and caregivers.
Interact frequently with infants; express respect for and affection toward them by smiling and speaking to the infants throughout the day.
Treat all children equally.
Be responsive to each child with his/her own temperament and development level.
