    Infant Toddler Teacher

    Job Summary: The Learning Experience is seeking a dedicated and nurturing Infant Toddler Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for early childhood education and experience working with infants and toddlers. This role involves creating a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment for children aged 6 weeks to 3 years. The teacher will be responsible for planning and implementing age-appropriate curriculum, fostering a positive learning atmosphere, and ensuring the well-being of each child in the classroom.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum that meets the needs of infants and toddlers.
    • Create a warm, nurturing, and safe environment for children to explore and grow.
    • Observe and assess the developmental progress of each child, maintaining accurate records and communicating progress to parents.
    • Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to create a cohesive and supportive team environment.
    • Engage in positive interactions with children, using age-appropriate language and techniques to support their social and emotional development.
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and child-friendly classroom, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
    • Participate in parent-teacher conferences, offering insights into each child’s progress and development.
    • Attend regular staff meetings and participate in ongoing professional development opportunities.
    • Adhere to The Learning Experience’s policies and procedures, including confidentiality and child safety standards.

    Qualifications:

    • Required: At least 3 units in Infant Toddler Care.
    • Strongly Preferred: 12 units in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or Child Development.
    • Previous experience working with infants and toddlers in a licensed childcare facility.
    • Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices for infant and toddler care.
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to connect with children, parents, and colleagues.
    • Ability to work effectively in a team and contribute to a positive, collaborative work environment.
    • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
    • Must pass a background check and meet all state licensing requirements.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
    • Frequent bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
    • Ability to interact with children on their level, including sitting on the floor and participating in active play.
