HCT has an immediate need for an interim Infection Preventionist at a 70+ bed hospital in Arizona. Responsibilities for this position include:
- assisting with the development, monitoring, and enforcement of policies specific to Surveillance, Prevention and Control Programs,
- coordinating Infection Prevention and Control throughout the hospital and outpatient clinics,
- monitoring the on-going effectiveness of these activities and interventions,
- staff education, and
- preparation for TJC survey.
Requirements:
- Education: BSN, Registered Nurse (RN) required and Master's degree in a healthcare related field required
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in Infection Control in a hospital setting combined with knowledge of microbiology, epidemiology, statistical analysis, patient care standards, infectious disease, and sterilization/sanitation/disinfection practices; familiarity with NHSN reporting; experience with clinical surveillance system software
- Licenses: Registered Nurse License
- Certifications: Certification in Infection Control (CIC) required
- Computer Skills: Strong working knowledge of clinical surveillance; other related software applications and Microsoft Office suite (MS Word, MS Excel, etc.)
All expenses are covered while on assignment including housing, airfare, transportation, and trips home during the assignment.
Pay Range: $160,000 - $170,000 annually, depending on experience, education, and location.
