Job Description
The Content Producer is responsible for educating, engaging, and inspiring the advanced manufacturing community through high-quality programming across a number of energy storage, automotive and other manufacturing events. They will coordinate and manage most aspects of conference production/content production—including program development, production, and execution—for virtual and live conferences focusing on what’s neat, next, and new in target markets.
ROLE ACCOUNTABILITY AND DUTIES:
• Analyze internal and external data to inform content programs. Conduct telephone, in-person, digital, community, and market research to inform agendas and programs for digital / hybrid and live events
• Pitch ideas and brainstorm with internal and external subject matter experts to identify compelling content opportunities, creative content ideas, and key educational topics for assigned conference content.
• Develop high-quality, marketable agendas and programs that meet the needs of our communities, cater to identified personas, and drive attendance
• Identify, invite, and secure speakers, with a particular emphasis on outreach to key opinion leaders and progressive thinkers. Utilize direct personal outreach as well as formal call-for-speakers processes.
• Establish and maintain relationships with industry influencers and experts.
• Craft compelling copy for session titles and descriptions that grab attendees’ attention and prompts them to register.
• Manage speaker communications, pre-event, during and post to obtain/provide required materials, and perform database management for speaker/session tracking and display on the website.
• Work with vendors like AV, delivery platforms, and digital and live events teams to determine event timelines and assist with scheduling logistics and other details.
• Provide marketing and sales teams with highlights, sponsorship targets, and other information required to ensure event success
• Provide editorial teams with top sessions and speaker contacts for use with media.
• Communicate progress, needs, and challenges effectively to key stakeholders and in event team meetings.
• Work with cross-functional teams to achieve common event goals.
• Attend assigned events either online or in-person, oversee content on event days, provide speaker support, and address issues that arise during the course of the event.
• Provide post-show analysis and feedback to inform future editions.
• Manage and adhere to assigned budget and process all speaker stipends for payment post-event.
• Adhere to posted deadlines.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
· 3+ years of experience as a content/conference producer or in a similar role involved with live content development and production.
· Prior knowledge or experience in manufacturing, electronics, energy storage or automotive a plus
· Excellent scheduling, organizational, and communication skills.
· Demonstrated ability to write marketable session descriptions and agendas (copywriting).
· Exceptional attention to detail.
· Ability to work in a deadline-oriented environment.
· Masterful multi-tasking abilities.
· Comfort with cold-calling potential speakers and alumni delegates/attendees for research.
