    Role : The Mid-Level Information Assurance Analyst will support the clients ISSO in implementing security strategies that enhance the security posture of the organization’s on-premises and cloud IT infrastructure.

    Responsibilities :

    • Assist in responding to and remediating classified spillage incidents.
    • Help develop and maintain procedures for classified spillage reporting.
    • Support the management of the clients Classified hard drive program, including tracking and reporting.
    • Facilitate secure data transfers from removable media to the OpenNet/ClassNet networks.
    • Conduct end-of-day security checks in clients suites.
    • Conduct security briefings for new users and keep content updated with the latest Department policies.
    • Assist in planning for security Assessment and Authorization (A&A) in accordance with NIST RMF and FISMA.
    • Provide support in creating security documentation for A&A processes to secure ATO approvals.
    • Participate in Security Impact Analysis (SIA) reviews and report findings to system owners.
    • Assist in updating security controls in ArchAngel to reflect current findings and reporting.
    • Support the creation of POAMs for identified security control issues.
    • Evaluate security control implementations annually and assist in categorizing information systems based on impact analysis.
    • Document results of security categorization in the SSP.
    • Participate in the review of the SSP with the clients ISSO to ensure readiness for approval.
    • Assist with Annual Control Assessments and updates on SCF for FISMA-reportable systems.

    Qualifications :

    • MS/BS degree in a related field
    • Top Secret Cleared and must be willing to work onsite. (50to 60% telework may be allowed at the discretion of CO)
    • 3-6 years of experience in Information Assurance or Cybersecurity.
    • Understanding of NIST RMF, FISMA, and security compliance frameworks.
    • Relevant security certifications (e.g., Security+, CISA) preferred.
    • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
    • Effective communication and team collaboration abilities.
