Job Description
The IT Manager is responsible for maintaining the hardware and software of Faena New York computing environment. Is responsible for the day-to-day support operations of IT at the hotel, handling both technical and administrative tasks to ensure functionality and efficiency of the IT systems. Work with our Owners and the Hotel Management company Information Systems Leads to evaluate equipment, search for alternatives, and recommend improvements. Will carry out administrative activities in accordance with standard operating procedures as set forth by the Information Systems Leaders.
The ideal candidate will be the direct link between the hotel employees and guests for any IT related issues. They should be comfortable providing technology solutions to employees as well as working closely where necessary with third party software companies to adopt new technologies and efficiently use existing ones.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintains, and complies with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards.
- Maintains competent knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment. Use equipment only as intended.
- Provide support for the hotel guests, staff and all areas of the hotel in all technological matters.
- Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests; resident and transient.
- Install, test and configure new workstations, peripheral equipment, and software.
- Assist with PC setup, IT system and access for onboarding new users.
- Must always maintain positive guest and resident relations.
- Enhance the guest experience by resolving guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas.
- Remains accessible by telephone or email.
- Collaborate with Housekeeping and Engineering departments. Monitor completion of work orders submitted.
- Attend/participate in pre-shift meetings, briefings, trainings as assigned by management.
- Maintains confidentiality and security of specified hotel information, correspondence, reports and files.
- Ensures that hardware and software are kept at current levels of releases where applicable.
- Provides telecommunication and internet support for administrative users and guests.
- Coordinates with vendors to ensure the timely implementation of projects, hardware, software, and maintenance of systems.
- Plans and sets targets for problem resolutions.
- Maintains current inventory records of all hardware products, software licenses, and maintenance agreements.
- Maintains the security of designated areas and confidentiality of all relevant information and documents.
- Manages appropriate retirement of computing assets.
- Establishes and maintains disaster recovery policies and procedures for hotel systems.
- Ensures confidentiality in all matters related to his/her activity.
- Ensures that all policies and procedures in the operation are followed in accordance with the set procedures.
- Stays up-to-date and evaluates existing and new hardware and software configurations and makes suggestions for changes when appropriate.
- Searches for areas for improvement in existing systems and procedures with new software and hardware.
