    So, what will the Information Technology Support Technician at Terrestris do?

    The ** Information Technology Support Technician** role provides comprehensive technology support for the United States Air Force (USAF) voluntary off-duty education program at Cannon AFB. The individual will serve as the primary point of contact for all computer technology support needs for the Base Training and Education Services (BTES) Office. The position requires providing hardware, software, and network system administration support, including the maintenance and improvement of critical technology systems that ensure the effective operation of the BTES office.

    What does a typical day look like for a Information Technology Support Technician?

    The Information Technology Support Technician's day is dynamic. The role involves ensuring the smooth operation of all BTES office technology, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues, maintaining systems, and updating the BTES website. They assist with the implementation of new systems, provide relevant IT training to staff, and ensure data security and compliance with DoD regulations. The technician also manages backups, data migration, and collaborates with the BTES team for ongoing technology improvements. Communication with the BTES Flight Chief is key, and the technician monitors system performance throughout the day.

    What qualifications do you look for?

    You might be the person we're looking for if you have:

    • Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in computer technology support, with verifiable professional references.
    • Relevant industry certifications and ongoing professional development within the Information Technology field.
    • Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance at the "Secret" level or higher.
    • Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse personnel and leadership.
    • In-depth knowledge of Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), Privacy Act Information (PII), and information security practices.
    • Must be able to complete and maintain a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) and National Agency Check with Credit Check (ANACI) as required for DoD network access.
    • · Must be able to obtain IT access to AFSOC LAN system and comply with security clearance processes.
