JOB PURPOSE:
This role requires initiative and the ability to work in a fast-paced, diverse, and dynamic environment. Serve as a Jr. Administrator in the area of System & Network Administration for mission critical business systems, and for providing day to day operational support for the enterprise data network's access layer, as well as designing and testing new core and access layer network configurations. Position requires collaboration with Senior Engineers for system & network configuration, administration, patching, performance tuning, disaster recovery, and implementation of best practices as they relate to server and networking infrastructure.
Essential Functions:
Systems Administration
Perform troubleshooting, technical support, and maintenance of server operating systems, applications and hardware.
Resolves elevated Help Desk incidents, change management requests, or problem tickets as assigned.
Administration of Information Technology related Infrastructure to meet business growth requirements.
Develop, implement, and maintain technical solutions based on business and end-user requirements, using established change control process.
Perform preventative maintenance including backups and patching of all IT systems as required
Conduct or assist with technical and business analysis of new products and systems
Assesses utilization trends and make appropriate design and implementation recommendations to scale the architecture.
Assists in the planning and management of all aspects of Network and Telephony projects.
Leads problem solving efforts involving vendors and internal staff.
Ensures networks are highly available and meet the performance requirements of the business.
Develops procedures and standards for supporting the organizations IT Infrastructure.
Stays current with technological developments and provides recommendations about how the organization can benefit from new technology solutions.
On-Call and after hours support of Systems and Network Infrastructure. Other job duties when expected
