    IMPORTANT: Email QA experience is required to be considered for this role.

    The Email QA Specialist at Ingredient is responsible for ensuring quality assurance across all emails, webpages, social media posts, campaigns and everything else produced at the agency. (The majority of the QA will be focused on email.) They will make sure that every product is error-free, matches project requirements and is structurally sound (i.e. no design rendering issues are present or functionality is broken). In addition, they will develop and adhere to internal QA processes and create and maintain associated documentation. The QA Specialist will work with internal teams to escalate errors and ensure they are resolved. This position requires a strong attention to detail and effective communication skills.

    What You'll Do:

    • Prevent marketing content from going live (on websites, in social media, via email, etc.) with any errors by developing and implementing quality control procedures
    • Ensure compliance to faultless execution of email campaigns in the following areas:
      • Link-checking: test functionality & verify correct destination URL and tracking codes
      • Rendering: check design rendering in multiple email clients, including layout, images, and alt tags
      • Content: verify images and copy are correct according to documentation, and that copy is free of obvious typos or grammatical errors
      • Deployment setup: verify segmentation, send time/date and testing setup in the clients' ESP
      • Other: verify versions, file names, or other details depending on project requirements
    • Find errors and escalate to appropriate teams for resolution
    • Manage QA checklist and other documentation per project
    • Establish and follow internal QA standards
    • Coordinate with Campaign Managers on project timelines and QA requirements
    • Collaborate with team members on ways to improve internal processes and client programs
    • Continually improve QA and email marketing skills and expertise

    What You Bring:

    • Proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Self-motivated and accountable - the right candidate takes a lot of pride in his/her/their work
    • Strong communication skills - both written and verbal
    • Proficient with Windows, Mac OS, iOS and Android operating systems
    • Experienced with Microsoft Office and Google Suite
    • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Photoshop is a plus
    • Experience with Litmus and Validity
    • Hands-on experience with an email marketing tool (Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Emarsys, Marketo, etc.) is a plus
    • Familiarity with waterfall and agile development process
    • Understanding of email marketing compliance and best practices

    Annual salary

    In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the salary range for this position is $65,000 - $80,000, exclusive of benefits mentioned above. Your compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer.

    Our team is currently operating with a “hotel policy” office model: You can do your work either remotely or reserve a desk in the office. Occasionally, we will expect to meet in the office or attend meetings on site with the client when the work requires it.
