We are located in Encinitas, CA, 30 min North of Downtown San Diego. The Inn prides itself on being a Conscious Destination. Our small five-suite boutique Inn is naturally ventilated, an ocean breeze and poised for Social Distancing. Each suite is outfitted with an outdoor deck or patio and their own HVAC system. "The intention of our Inn is to nourish life and encourage people to experience the joy of connecting with nature, one's self, and the broader local community. The notion of the 'conscious destination' is new to the lexicon and is something we are proud to provide." Guests will have a complete immersion in the wellness lifestyle during their stay. Our Contemporary Bed and Breakfast by the beach is a sanctuary to retreat to whenever you need it.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We are searching for a long-term, committed leader and team member for our World Class Boutique Inn. WE ARE AN ENVIRONMENT FOR ONGOING GROWTH, DEVELOPMENT, & INNOVATION. The Innkeeper/Manager will work closely with the owners to refine offerings at the Inn. He/She loves taking care of people and the environment and is organized, thorough, coachable, able to take direction/mentorship from the owners. He/She will co-create, generate initiatives to empower staff and deliver results that demonstrate our mission, excellence, and create a 'JOY & WOW' experience for everyone.

The ideal Innkeeper/Manager is energetic, thorough, and strives for excellence. Someone who is willing to have a beginner's mind, willing to set aside previous knowledge and learn our unique practices here from the bottom up. (From the fundamentals of housekeeping, setting up rooms, breakfast baskets, maintaining gardens, to heart-centered guest service.) He/she is also willing and able to work in an ever-changing, fast-paced environment while maintaining a good professional attitude and the best customer service to guests and co-workers.

THE FULLTIME INNKEEPER/MANAGER POSITION REQUIRES AT LEAST 2+ YEARS OF ORGANIZATIONAL MANAGEMENT AND 4+ YEARS OF HOSPITALITY EXPERIENCE . A HOTEL HOSPITALITY BACKGROUND IS NOT REQUIRED BUT A PLUS.

JOB DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:

1. The team is in constant pursuit of excellence. Every individual at the inn is trained and expected to deliver and curate an exceptional room, environment, and overall experience for guests.
2. Support the owners in different aspects of running a top-tier boutique inn including reservation systems, organize and upkeep the environment, handle difficult guest requests, run errands as needed, and ensure that all guests have a first-rate experience.
3. Organize, generate and initiate tasks for self and staff. Manage housekeeping and massage service schedules.
4. Work with the owner to generate on-brand protocols, craft & redesign our offerings ongoingly.
5. Since we are a small boutique inn, Innkeeper is required to multitask and is expected to constantly move about to assist guests with checking in/checking out, cleaning, setting up rooms, and at times doing laundry (washing and folding), gardening various Inn-related maintenance and upkeep. The job does require a physically fit person. You are expected to have the ability to bend frequently and lift 50 lbs.
6. Support housekeepers, massage therapists, maintenance contractors, and various vendors.
7. Provide best-in-class service to our guests and prospective customers--via phone, email, and/or in-person--during all phases of guest communication and stay.
8. Maintain accurate information for guest reservations on property management systems, online travel agency websites by communicating with customer service technicians/representatives.
9. Manage inventory for the inn making sure we have enough stock at all times.
10. Quality control for rooms and common areas.

THIS INNKEEPER ROLE WILL HAVE A STARTING SALARY RANGE OF 55K-65K PLUS COMMISSION, BONUS STRUCTURE, AND BENEFITS.
