Job Purpose / Summary:
The Inside Sales Representative (ISR) is a customer-facing role. The ISR is responsible for managing their assigned package of accounts, opening new accounts when appropriate, and managing to their assigned budget. They are the primary contact for their assigned accounts and own the sales and service process from start to finish (customer dialogue through order entry and follow-up service). Inside Sales Representatives will work directly with customers to enter orders, process RMAs, provide quotes, and handle general questions promptly and thoroughly.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
The Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for the following, but not limited to:
- Cold calling prospects that are either dormant assigned accounts, or new customers to expand the customer base
- Penetrate all accounts by performing outbound discovery call discussions resulting in identifying potential sales opportunity, customer needs, overcoming objections and converting competitive business by leveraging the value proposition
- Collaborate with appropriate team members (Outside sales) to determine necessary strategic sales approaches and avoid market conflict
- Maintain CRM database including but not limited to: documenting daily conversations, emails and future appointments, trends and opportunities, etc. to ensure all communication with customer is captured
- Leverage periodic promotions, programs, new product, and Value Proposition to drive profitable, long term customer partnerships and growth
- When necessary, support marketing efforts such as trade shows, exhibits and other events
Qualifications & Education Requirements:
To perform the job successfully, an individual must have the following:
- Minimum of 2 years in an outbound selling via telephone
- Experience with ERP and/or CRM applications (SAP, P21, Salesforce, MS Dynamics)
- Have extensive verbal communication required for customer interaction (multi-lingual preferred)
- Ability to develop relationships and work closely at all levels of an organization
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.
