    Position Title: Inspector, Construction

    Location: Los Angeles World Airports: Los Angeles, CA - (On-Site) - Candidate must be willing and able to commute to LAWA office as well as to, from, and between project sites.

    Due Date: 4/17/25

    Position Overview

    Essential Job Duties:

    Conduct inspections for the installation of sanitary sewer systems and storm drains, including related structures, in accordance with City and County of Los Angeles Standards.

    Oversee the installation of underground wet and dry utilities, working within or for various Southern California regional agencies.

    Perform inspections for the installation of street lighting and traffic signal systems, following the specifications set by the City of Los Angeles Bureau of Street Lighting and the Los Angeles Department of Transportation.

    Ensure compliance with multi-phased, site-specific traffic control plans, with a strong emphasis on pedestrian safety and routing.

    Collaborate professionally within a large team of inspectors.

    Apply extensive knowledge of City of Los Angeles Standard Plans/Specifications and the Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction (Greenbook).

    Project-Specific Requirements/Notes

    Professional Experience Level/Other Qualifications:

    5 years or more of experience performing inspection of large-scale Public Works type projects.

    Proven expertise in the installation and inspection of sewer and storm drain systems, utility infrastructure, and traffic control measures.

    Strong working knowledge of City of Los Angeles and County of Los Angeles Standards.

    Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

    Requires a detail-oriented professional with extensive field experience and a strong commitment to safety and compliance.

    Education/Training:

    High school diploma (or equivalent).

    30-hour Cal-OSHA training prior to assignment. The 30-hour training will have been received within the last 4 years.

    Element-Specific Requirements/Notes:

    May assume other duties as required/needed.

    Maybe required to work various shifts as needed (Tentative schedule 6:00AM-2:30PM)

    The position will require the candidate to have the ability to transit to, from, and between project sites.

    Offered rate of compensation will be based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including education, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. The salary range for this position is $135,000 - $145,000.
