Installation Technician - Custom Window Coverings
We are currently in search of a talented Installation Technician for Custom Window Coverings to join us and offer exemplary service to some of Raleigh's exclusive homeowners. Our installers are responsible for completing the last steps of the client experience by adhering to the design vision of our consultants. To be an effective part of our team, installers must possess strong problem-solving skills, technical aptitude, respectfulness, and an eagerness to stay informed as trends in the industry evolve. The typical workday begins at 8:30 am and concludes at 4:30 pm; however, there may be times when projects spill over past the allotted time and our staff must be flexible to accommodate such requests. We believe in keeping our promise to clients and never leaving a job unfinished. Working days are Monday to Friday; however, Saturdays may be required if necessary. Although we do not provide health insurance, we do offer 401k matching instantly, PTO benefits, and seven paid holidays a year. Wage is contingent upon experience (not necessarily limited to just custom window coverings). Responsibilities: • Professionally installing an array of hard and soft window treatments, including automated shades and designer drapery for both residential and commercial purposes. • Addressing any complications during job installation. • Gathering payment balances due. • Educating customers about how to use their purchased products correctly and maintain their warranties. • Assisting the office and sales staff with resolving difficult setups and issues. • Receiving, labelling, and organizing deliveries in the warehouse. • Performing minor repairs and communicating technical solutions to the company. Qualifications: • Previous experience in carpentry or workmanship from any industry, having the ability to measure accurately with a tape measure. • The capability to work independently along as part of a team. • Possesses a friendly and professional attitude when interacting with clients. • Ability to learn and install new technology; we specialize in automated products and services. • Problem-solving skills and the capability to diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve issues. • Demonstrated capacity to complete paperwork, electronically and manually. • Possesses a valid driver's license and insurance and is willing to travel to job sites as required. • Has the physical capacity to lift a minimum weight of 75 lbs and climb ladders of up to 18+ ft in height. • Ability to pass a drug test and a background check if deemed necessary. Compensation: $20 - $24 hourly
