We are seeking a skilled and experienced Institutional Catering Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals in large quantities for various institutions in both Tucson and Phoenix.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook nutritious meals in large quantities according to predetermined menus and recipes
Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet established standards
Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment in compliance with health and safety regulations
Manage food inventory and assist with ordering supplies
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal preparation and service
Adapt menus to accommodate dietary restrictions and special requirements
Operate and maintain kitchen equipment
Follow food safety and hygiene protocols
Qualifications
Proven experience as a cook in institutional or large-scale catering settings
Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and kitchen equipment
Understanding of nutritional guidelines and dietary restrictions
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Team player with excellent communication skills
Food Safety Certification (e.g., ServSafe)
Culinary degree or relevant certification preferred
Physical Requirements
