    Salary Range: $45,726 - $81,858 rate is based on degree and experience. Excellent fringe benefits.

    Job Summary:

    The CIS Probationary Full-Time Instructor shall provide academic instruction in a range of courses within the Computer Information Systems program which may include day, evening, weekend,

    and/or online courses. The instructor will maintain scheduled office hours, advise students, develop curriculum, and participate in College Service and professional development activities.

    Responsibilities:

    • Prepare and deliver academic instruction, including developing syllabi, selecting and requesting course materials, developing content, and designing assessments.

    • Maintain and submit necessary class records including early alert, final grade reports, and attendance verification for financial aid compliance.

    • Participate in student grade appeal procedures.

    • Participate in adjunct interviews and evaluations on a rotating basis.

    • Observe the college calendar.

    • Post and maintain conference hours.

    • Participate in the assessment of student learning and assessment reporting according to the assessment plan.

    • Participate in the scheduling process and select courses in accordance with discipline rotation.

    • Participate in course review and program review as needed.

    • Participate in the development of courses and programs.

    • Attend required college in-service days.

    • Attend division and discipline meetings.

    • Meet professional development requirements.

    • Meet college service requirements.

    • Attend commencement.

    • Submit an annual report outlining the professional activities of the past year.

    Requirements:

    • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Business & Technology, Computer Applications, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Information Technology, Computer or Software Engineering, Network Security or Management, Information Systems, Technology or related degree and 4000 hours non-teaching related work experience,

    OR

    • Master's Degree (or higher) in Computer Applications, Computer Science, Business Informatics, Educational Technology, Engineering in Computer Science, Information, Information Management, Information Systems, Information System Management, Information Technology, Library and Information Science, Science in Computer Science, Science in Computing Research, Science in Cyber Security, Mathematics and Computer Science, Technology (Computer Related), Business (Information Systems) or related degree and 4000 hours non-teaching related work experience,

    OR

    • Bachelor's degree in any other field with 18 graduate hours in these disciplines and 4000 hours non-teaching related work experience.

    • Master’s Degree preferred.

    • Five years’ community college teaching experience preferred.

    • Experience in cybersecurity, information assurance or related field preferred.

    • Relevant industry certification(s) in cybersecurity, network administration, or information assurance preferred.

    • All academic degrees must be from a regionally accredited college or university.

    • The ability to maintain good relationships with students, staff, and community members is preferred.

    Supervision Received: Reports to the Chief Academic Officer.
