Job Summary

As a Mad Scientist, you will lead students through an inquiry-based discovery method involving instructor demonstrations, hands-on activities, and amazing take-home projects that will illustrate how science affects the world around us. Mad Science is the world’s leading provider of fun science programs for elementary-aged children.

Responsibilities

Facilitating a one-hour after-school science enrichment program using a pre-set, easy-to-understand curriculum.

Each session is high-energy. It’s part entertainment, part education, through a hands-on after-school class that meets for one hour each week for 4, 6, or 8 weeks.

Requirements

Must be 18 or older

Must have a reliable car and valid drivers license

Ability to be scheduled two afternoons per week (Monday - Friday) for an hour-long program with start times ranging from 2:30 pm - 5:30 pm

Ability to pass a Criminal Background Check

Ability to attend Open Lab/Kit Exchange at the New Berlin office on Friday mornings/afternoons

Experience working with children is an asset

Pay

$20 per hour (a 1 hour class is paid at a minimum of 2 hours)

Most instructors work an average of 4-10 hours per week.
