  • Responsibilities

    Works independently, performing all tasks related to the reprocessing and sterilization of surgical instruments. These tasks include maintenance, decontamination, prepping, sterilization and proper handling and storage.

    Required Experience

    Required:

    • High school graduate or GED
    • One (1) year of experience in acute health care
    • Knowledge of surgical instruments and their use
    • Knowledge of supplies and equipment used during sterile processing
    • LA City fire card within 6 months of employment

    Preferred :

    • IAHCSMM (International Association of Healthcare Central Service Materiel Management) certification preferred
    • Previous experience in sterile processing preferred
