Technical Accounts Analyst
Location: Orlando, FL.
Job Purpose:
We are seeking a diligent Technical Accounts Analyst to manage client receivables and payables, minimize aged debt, and support our Programs from a technical back-office perspective.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, validate, and render inward (Coverholder/MGA settlements) and outward (reinsurance account statements, tax, and levy) reports and settlements, ensuring adherence to contractual responsibilities and individual technical accounts.
- Maintain and update client feedback on relevant systems, ensuring all feedback is followed up and necessary actions are escalated to Account Managers.
- Prepare, process, and validate accounting entries to maintain the General Ledger.
- Produce month-end management reporting.
- Ensure comprehensive and accurate feedback for dashboard users.
- Participate in internal and external meetings, including with Underwriters, developing client/MGA relationships, and assisting with due diligence assessments.
- Monitor and chase debt to ensure prompt premium settlement, meeting SLAs, and resolving any unallocated cash.
- Process premium and claims information into company software.
- Review transactional records to identify and resolve data quality issues.
- Reconcile bank accounts, bank checks, wires, and allocate cash daily.
- Identify and resolve issues, escalating risks, and highlighting any settlement/MGA Client issues.
- Analyze inwards submissions and client data to resolve problems and answer queries.
- Log and maintain records of all client queries/requests.
- Provide progress and status reports to the line manager.
- Assist in improving process efficiencies.
- Perform other duties or assigned projects as needed.
- Maintain compliance with applicable statutory or regulatory obligations, including those related to the prudent management of the business, customer interests, sanctions, financial crime, regulatory requirements, local licensing restrictions, whistleblowing procedures, internal controls, and security, and Consumer Duty principles for retail customers.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Understanding of credit control processes and practices.
- Ability to interpret and manipulate data accurately, identifying key issues.
- Strong relationship-building skills, establishing credibility with stakeholders.
- Strong accounting and technical knowledge.

Education:
- Associate or undergraduate degree in a relevant field (business, accounting, math, etc.)
Experience:
- Insurance industry experience preferred.
