As a result, Gregg and his peers are fostering the next generation of agent owners by piloting the Agent Internship Program which is designed to provide an opportunity for applicants to develop their skills and business acumen as potential agent owners.
Job Summary An Agent Internship in designed as a 3-5 year program in an advanced sales role which carefully immerses an employee into the insurance industry in preparation as an agent owner. Within this period this role markets, prospects, and sells American Family Insurance products in all product lines while promoting our agency throughout the Midwest. in addition, this position features job shadowing of agents and active mentoring from AmFam's Sales District Leaders and Operation Specialists who play a vital role in supporting agencies. Interns who excel in the program will be able to foster effective customer relationships, be able to promote product and service offerings, as well gain experience with the agents role in advocating for a customer's best interests. Along with effective internal activity, this role encourages professional and social networking among centers of influence throughout the community.
Responsibilities
Develops knowledge and sales tactics for all personal insurance product lines including Homeowners, Auto, Life, and Liability coverages
Focus on agency grow and maintain its customer base
Display high ethics and morals in working among peers and office staff
Effective prospecting and networking and center of influence development
Professional and proactive activity that is require of a successful independently owned business.
Qualifications
