Job Summary
We are seeking an Insurance Coordinator to join our team! As a Insurance Coordinator, you will be responsible for interacting with patients regarding insurance. Verifying insurance coverage, determining patient balances, checking patients out and following up on claims. You may also be presenting treatment to patients. The ideal candidate has excellent attention to detail, strong customer service skills, and is comfortable spending much of the day on the computer.
Responsibilities
Collect insurance information from patients.
Input insurance information into the appropriate records.
Verify insurance and determine benefits.
Enter all billing and payment information into the system properly and without errors
Follow up on insurance claims.
Check patients out after treatment.
Present treatment to patients.
Make sure appropriate information is attached to insurance claims and send claims.
Answer phones, assist clients with questions, take messages, and screen calls.
Maintains the highest level of confidentiality
Hourly pay is determined by experience.
Qualifications
Strong customer service skills
Previous experience with dental or medical coding or billing desired
Strong organization skills
Excellent attention to detail
