Key Responsibilities:
Insurance Verification and Eligibility:
Verifying patient's insurance coverage and eligibility for dental benefits.
Ensuring that patients have coverage for the date of service.
Checking for out-of-network benefits if applicable.
Claim Processing:
Preparing and submitting dental insurance claims to insurance companies.
Monitoring claim status and following up on outstanding claims.
Ensuring accurate coding and documentation for claims.
Patient Communication and Education:
Explaining insurance benefits, coverage, and costs to patients.
Answering patient questions regarding insurance and billing.
Helping patients understand their financial responsibilities.
Record Keeping and Organization:
Maintaining accurate patient records, including insurance information.
Organizing and managing insurance-related documents.
Updating patient files with insurance information.
Liaison with Insurance Companies:
Communicating with insurance companies regarding claims, coverage, and payments.
Navigating insurance company processes and procedures.
Resolving any issues or discrepancies related to insurance coverage and claims.
Financial Coordination:
Calculating estimated patient costs and payments.
Assisting with payment arrangements and financial planning.
Working with patients to find solutions for financial barriers to treatment.
Customer Service:
Providing excellent customer service to patients and staff.
Addressing patient inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
