Responsibilities
Collecting, verifying, and managing patients’ dental insurance benefits and claims
Performing related administrative tasks such as processing forms, reports, and emails
Coordinating with dental office staff to schedule meetings, appointments, and procedures
Analyzing insurance policies to determine coverage for specific services and procedures
Communicating with patients about their appointments, treatments plans, and billing processes
Estimating costs for patients based on their insurance coverage
Preparing and processing claims for insurance companies
Interpreting medical information from doctor’s notes to patients’ records
Ensuring patients fully understand their health insurance benefits and financial responsibilities
Entering patients’ and insurance data into the appropriate management system
Generating and maintaining reports of all insurance activities
Following up on non-paid insurance claims, late payments, and overdue accounts
Processing and verifying insurance payments and refunds
Qualifications
