Insurance Sales Agent
We want to add a motivated person who wants to own their own insurance agency. The ideal candidate for our insurance agent position needs to have solid communication skills and a drive to be successful. They must bring a friendly attitude and a passion for customer service, and we’ll invest our resources into training you to be a successful insurance sales representative! Responsibilities: • Stay abreast of any changes to rules or policies within the insurance agency to effectively amend insurance programs for existing and prospective clients • Update reports, records, bookkeeping systems, and other organizational tools to accurately report progress toward monthly insurance sales goals • Collaborate with policyholders to develop insurance risk management and other profiles that specify the best policies for their evolving insurance needs • Maintain a portfolio of existing customers and pursue insurance sales with new clients by using sales strategies that may include cold calling and networking • Spend time listening to existing, new, and prospective clients to evaluate their needs and stage-of-life priorities before presenting insurance plan options for their specific circumstances • Willingness to create lasting relationships within your local community Qualifications: • Willingness to learn about the insurance industry, insurance programs, and state and federal regulations that may impact policyholders • Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma mandatory • Fundamental computer skills such as experience with Microsoft Office • Job seekers must already have or be willing to get an insurance license • Basic understanding of sales lead or accounting software is helpful • Must be a good communicator and be able to explain complex insurance programs to the customer Compensation: $66,000 at plan commission
