The ideal candidate for our entry-level insurance agent position has the solid communications skills it takes to drive insurance sales among potential clients and new clients. Responsibilities: • Maintain a portfolio of existing customers and pursue insurance sales with new clients by using sales strategies that may include cold calling and networking • Remain updated about insurance industry changes that may affect customers in your portfolio • Develop risk management strategies for each customer to ensure his or her policy needs are continuously met • Take ownership of ensuring there are accurate records of all necessary bookkeeping, client, and sales reports in order to track and communicate the status of assigned goals • Serve as an attentive listener when communicating with new and potential clients in order to accurately identify their unique needs prior to pursuing specific insurance sales Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma mandatory • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills required; customer service experience is a plus • Basic computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office suite is required • Valid insurance license required or candidates must be willing to get licensed • Working knowledge of accounting and sales lead software is a plus Compensation: $40,000 plus commission
