Quirk Insurance is looking for a sales executive with a proven track of successful sales. We require you to have your Property & Casualty license. This job requires great concentration and attention to detail.
- Customize insurance programs to suit individual customers, often covering a variety of risks
- Sell various types of insurance policies to businesses and individuals on behalf of insurance companies including auto, fire, property and liability
- Explain features, advantages, and disadvantages of various policies
- Perform administrative tasks, such as maintaining records and handling policy renewals
- Seek out new clients and develop clientele by networking
- Call on policyholders to review policies and changes
- Interview prospective clients to obtain data about their business
- Contact Underwriter and submit forms to obtain coverage
- Monitor insurance claims to ensure they are settled equitably for both the client and the insurer
- Organizing, planning and prioritizing work as well as developing goals
TECHNOLOGY SKILLS
- Must be proficient at keyboarding
- Ability to learn Agency Management Software
- Working knowledge of Word and Excel
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of two years working in the insurance business
- Hold your Property & Casualty License with the State of Maine
- Life & Health license would be a bonus
