Insurance Sales Representative

We are seeking a driven, community-minded individual to join our team as an independent Insurance Agent. This role is ideal for a proactive leader passionate about making a tangible local impact. You’ll sell insurance products and spearhead initiatives that address community needs, positioning our agency as a trusted ally. Responsibilities: • Stay updated on industry trends and compliance requirements • Build relationships with local organizations (schools, farm organizations, chambers of commerce) to identify partnership opportunities • Prospect new clients through networking, referrals, and community outreach • Leverage social media and local media to highlight community initiatives and client stories • Organize, volunteer at, or sponsor community events • Willingness to create lasting relationships within your local community • Must be a good communicator and be able to explain solutions to the customer • High School diploma at must: college degree a bonus or related work experience • Ability to review and solve situational tasks • Willingness to complete tasks without having to be micromanaged • Ability to make decisions at the moment • Willingness to learn and grow as the business changes Qualifications: • Active insurance license (or willingness to obtain one) • Passion for social impact and community engagement • 5+ years of experience in sales, customer service, or business development; insurance experience is an advantage • Proven track record of being a self-starter • A background or familiarity with farming or agriculture is a plus • Must be a good communicator and be able to explain complex insurance programs to the customer Compensation: $66,000 at plan commission
