The ideal candidate for our agency position has the solid communications skills it takes to drive insurance sales among potential clients and new clients. Responsibilities: • Conduct meetings with new and potential clients and carefully listen to their individual circumstances in order to present the best insurance policies to meet their needs • Maintain a portfolio of existing customers and pursue insurance sales with new clients by using sales strategies that may include cold calling and networking • Remain updated about insurance industry changes that may affect customers in your portfolio • Update reports, records, bookkeeping systems, and other organizational tools to accurately report progress toward monthly insurance sales goals • Willingness to create lasting relationships within your local community Qualifications: • Open to embracing the insurance industry and becoming educated about its relevant state and federal regulations • High school diploma necessary; college degree a bonus • Working knowledge of accounting and sales lead software is a plus • Job seekers must already have or be willing to get an insurance license • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills required; customer service experience is a plus • Must be a good communicator and be able to explain complex insurance programs to the customer Compensation: $66,000 at plan earnings + commission
