In this position, you’ll collect and enter accurate information for new, existing, and prospective clients that serves as the foundation for decisions made by your insurance underwriter counterparts. Responsibilities: • Document and communicate policy approvals or rejections to the underwriting team, insurance agents, supervisors, and clients in a timely manner • Develop reports using accurate data and analytics that will be leveraged for policy decisions such as coverage determinations and policy parameters • Serve as the liaison for underwriters and customers in order to track, manage, and prioritize insurance applications and other services • Communicate with applicants in person and via phone and email to collect current and accurate insurance information to use in the development of risk assessment profiles • Support the development of accurate policy recommendations for existing and prospective customers by verifying that all records in underwriting software programs are accurate and complete • Review both new and renewal policies for accuracy • Review changes to client policies for accuracy Qualifications: • Keen attention to detail necessary to collect and maintain insurance customer information • Must have a bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, business administration, or other related field • Designation as a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) preferred but not required • Must have strong communications and interpersonal skills • Working as an administrative assistant or similar, or a role in the insurance industry is a plus Compensation: $35,000 yearly
