Malibu Group Billing, LLC is seeking an insurance verification representative to perform all verification of benefits requests for our growing client base in order to maintain our current gold standard of customer service. We offer verification, utilization review, and billing services for both medical and behavioral health professionals, practice groups and facilities, and are looking for an individual with experience in the health care industry. Applicants must be detail oriented, with exceptional critical thinking skills. Data entry experience is desired, as we are very thorough and work almost exclusively online. Basic knowledge of medical insurance is required, an understanding of the behavioral health sector is preferred.

Responsibilities Include:

Receiving, cataloging, and tracking progress of verification requests received

Perform detailed and thorough verification of benefits inquiries to asses policy benefits for a variety of healthcare providers (with a wide range of provider network statuses and services performed)

Relay policy benefit information to clients in a comprehensive and professional manner

Delegating requests quickly and efficiently to MG Billing Staff when multiple requests are received at the same time to ensure prompt turn-around of requests with required and accurate information

Communicate progress of each verification to client/client staff

Qualifications:

High school graduate or equivalent degree

Basic knowledge of medical insurance benefits and policies

Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills

Must uphold a gold standard customer service approach to all client interactions

Must be able to manage workload and complete assignments in a timely manner, whether supervised or not

Must project professionalism and be a team player

Must be proficient in basic computer skills relating to data entry, email, Microsoft Word and Excel

Must have fast and reliable internet connection at home
