    Mind Computing is seeking an Intake Analyst / Jr. Architect to provide technical architecture support services that align with the VA's Enterprise Architecture (EA) at the portfolio and product line levels. The role involves performing system analysis and architecture support, evaluating legacy systems and requests for new products, software, and hardware infrastructure, and delivering high-level architectural solutions. This position ensures compliance with organizational policies and strategic goals by conducting technical assessments, identifying modernization opportunities, and providing architectural recommendations to support seamless integration and system optimization.

    The candidate must reside within the continental US.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field.
    • 5+ years of professional work experience. 8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for degree requirements.
    • Extensive experience in design and development of IT architecture.
    • Experience must include a wide range of work in creating diagrams and documentation with all components that comprise IT systems including network topology.
    • Experience with developing technical/IT architecture, technical assessment, strategic planning, and risk management support.
    • Experience with developing and implementing solution and system technology architectures.
    • Able to plan, design and oversee deployment of complex enterprise-wide or large-scale information architectures.

    Responsibilities

    • Derive business and technical requirements through leading, facilitating and/or participate in collaborative meetings and working sessions with business process owners and technical staff.
    • Analyze requirements in developing technology solutions and associated proposals inclusive of platform technologies, applications, and infrastructure design, preliminary costs, and basis of estimates.
    • Interface with various organizational units of our customer's organization to gather and develop requirements.
    • Analyze requirements, design specifications for functional activities, and provide identification/fixes for the problems identified within existing systems design/implementation of new systems, enhancements of the existing systems, and participate in analysis, design, and new construction of next-generation IT systems.
    • Develop solutions and technology planning with a heavy focus on loosely coupled application architectures employing extensive use of API's and microservice architectures, application integration techniques, low-dev/no-dev technology, and robotic process automation.
    • Provide technology evaluation, process, expertise, leadership, project management, and technical services and perform as the technical project lead for technology design and implementation as required.
    • Maintain, add, and track team actions using project management methodology and standard collaboration tools (SharePoint).

    Additional Qualifications

    • Experience in the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).
    • Experience with architectural frameworks (DODAF, FEAF)
    • Certified Enterprise Architect is a plus.
    • Ability to obtain a government clearance.
